Darrell walked in the front door from a job interview on Tuesday.  I politely questioned him about all the details… how’d it go?  what did they ask you?  how do you feel about it?  blah, blah, blah…

Then, anticipating my next question, I said rather quickly, “welllll, you’re going to think I’m crazy but…”

He looked at me, looked away, looked back at me and said “Ok.”  Just like that.

So, while my kiddos were away at Camp Mimi (Thank you, Mom!  There’s a special seat in Heaven for you) we jetted mini-vanned our way to the beach.  The crazy part???  We drove 16 hours to spend a grand total of 32 hours there.  Crazy?  Maybe.  Worth it?  Ohhh, SO worth it.

Isn’t my Man handsome?!
Meet Ellie, our Maltese.

We ditched the computers, threw clothes in a bag, and headed out.

Our only rule:  NO kids.  And, NO being in close proximity  to families with kids.

For 32 blissful hours… we shared ice cream, watched movies, played in the waves, sang loudly, danced in the car, slept under the stars, inhaled the ocean air,  read books, walked on the beach, talked about our dreams, and drank some fruity drinks.

Oh, and we were silly… and then silly some more…

“Every new idea looks crazy at first.”  –Alfred Whitehead

So, what are some of your “crazy ideas”?  Your dreams?
I would encourage you to write them down, share them, take the risk.
I can promise you that the journey there will be..SO worth it.
xoxo,
K
